Well, it appears the actor has made a sudden come-back… To plagiarise little known lover of plagiarism, Shia LaBeouf.

The actor decided to set up a rival performance art installation to that of Nymphomaniac star’s bizarre #IAMSORRY exhibition in Los Angeles… Bang next door to LaBeouf’s.

Visitors to O’Connell’s competing piece, which he’s called #IAMSORRYTOO, can expect to see the actor tearfully apologising for the world’s problems as he invites members of the audience to choose an item from his table. Like the Blu-ray version of his movie, Stand By Me.

At times, O’Connell also sports a paper bag on his head. But instead of baring the words ‘I am not famous any more’, it simply says, ‘Super Famous’.

“A very good friend of mine, Jensen Karp, owns a gallery called Melrose 1988,” O'Connell told Buzzfeed. “He emailed me at 7.30am this morning. My wife is working, I'm on daddy duty, and it seemed like a fun thing to do today. So I dropped the kids off and drove right over here.

“Whether you want to call [Shia's antics] art or a real apology, it's hilarious. He's getting people talking. I'm all for this artsy gallery thing.

“It's fun to parody because all I have to do here is sit with a bag on my head, crying, and saying, 'I sowwy'. But I have to tell you; it's freeing to continually apologise like he does. I get it.”

LaBeouf has not yet responded to O'Connell's publicity stunt. It was, of course, a parody for comedy website FunnyOrDie.
