It took Katie Hopkins a matter of minutes to cause offence in the wake of trade union leader Bob Crow’s untimely death.

The controversial Rail, Maritime and Transport union leader Bob Crow was confirmed to have died of a massive heart attack aged just 52 earlier today.

Medics apparently spent an hour trying to save his life.

The union made the announcement in a brief statement.

It read: “It is with the deepest regret that RMT has to confirm that our general secretary Bob Crow sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning.”

Naturally, Hopkins took the inappropriate opportunity to further bolster her campaign to become the UK’s most-hated talking head.

She started by posting the following tweet on Twitter:

The inflammatory post sparked a typically caustic response from her followers, which went something along the lines of this:

Seemingly feeding off of the hate from her own trolls, she then continued with the above, before going for another quick fix:

And let’s not forget, she does have a show to promote next week:
