Kelsey Grammer's ex-wife wishes him "love and happiness" in his new marriage.

The former 'Frasier' actor's divorce from third wife Camille Grammer was finalised today, meaning he can go ahead with plans to wed current partner Kayte Walsh, and the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star hopes she and Kelsey can now get along for the sake of their children Mason, nine, and six-year-old Jude.

She said in a statement: "I have a great many mixed feelings about today - I'm sad for what was, yet excited about the road ahead. I'm grateful to my family and friends who have stood by me through this time - I will never forget their love and support.

"What I most hope is that Kelsey and I can improve our communications and truly co-parent our two wonderful children; and I wish Kelsey and Kayte love and happiness in their new marriage."

It was reported earlier this month that 55-year-old Kelsey and Kayte, 29, are planning to marry on February 25, with their reception expected to take place at New York's Plaza Hotel.

A source said: "Kelsey and Kayte have booked the Plaza ballroom for the reception. Despite the lavish surroundings, they want an intimate wedding with less than 150 guests. Kayte has laid out all the details, all the timings. The room will be decorated all in white, including a white cake. There will be a very tight guest list, and they won't allow cameras in. They're flying a lot of Kayte's family members in from England and putting them all up at The Plaza."

Kelsey started dating Kayte just a few months after splitting from Camille last July after 13 years of marriage.
