Kylie Minogue laughs off claims of £4 beauty regime

Kylie Minogue has laughed off reports that her glowing complexion is down to a £4 jar of face cream - saying it takes a lot more work to look as good as she does.

Sales of Pond's Cold Cream soared by 120% after it was said that the Can't Get You Out Of My Head star uses the traditional beauty product every day, on the advice of her mother.

But Kylie, 42, who is dating model Andres Velencoso, admitted that her youthful complexion was the result of a far more elaborate beauty regime.

Asked about the reports that her stunning looks were thanks to Pond's, Kylie laughed: "Oh God, that's just so funny. I wish I really was such a low-maintenance girl. I'm not.

"I do use Pond's but I use plenty of other products as well. I love beauty products," she confessed to Grazia magazine.

"My real skin secret is I always use all-over body make-up. It makes a real difference because you get this even, lovely finish everywhere. When you hit 40 you need a little bit more help."

Kylie said of stopping her Botox injections: "I didn't want that look any more. I'm 42. I have lines and I'm actually pleased to have them."

The singer also credited her Spanish boyfriend, who is 10 years younger than she is, for calming her down when she's in work mode.

"I'm in a lovely relationship that makes me incredibly happy and I hope it will stay like that.

"The big difference with our relationship now is that he's seen what I'm like when I'm working.

"I've gone from being all relaxed to going back into full-on Kylie-at-work mode, having meltdowns every few hours and freaking out and him having to deal with it.

"He just looks at me wide-eyed and says, 'Hey, calm down. Nothing's a problem."'

Kylie, who continues to take medicine after being diagnosed with breast cancer five years ago, said of her future: "I do feel incredibly broody. But I have to be honest and accept with everything I've been through I don't know whether I will actually be able to have children.

"I would absolutely love to but I just don't think it's going to happen."
