And Miley wasn't about to let Joe Jonas tell the world she introduced him to a life of hardened weed smoking without a fight.

The singer responded to comments the Jonas Brothers star made that suggested she and Demi Lovato gave him marijuana for the first time years ago.

"If you want to smoke weed, you're going to smoke weed. There's nothing that two little girls are going to get you to do that you don't want to do," she told the New York Times in an interview.

"I thought maybe he was saying that like it was going to make him look badass."

She added: "We were so young that it's actually like, 'How did you get peer pressured by me?'"

Jonas first made the claims in an essay for New York magazine, during which he detailed smoking weed with various Hollywood stars, losing his virginity (The Jonas Brothers sold themselves on being a chaste and heavily Christian family group) and why he decided to step away from the band.

But Demi Lovato's response to his piece couldn't have been more different.

"Love you brother. #family/friendsforver,"; she tweeted at him at the time.

Cyrus released her suitably controversial new music video for new single "Adore You" yesterday.

The clip features the former Disney star writhing around in skimpy underwear between white bed sheets, rubbing her body, squeezing her breasts and biting her lips suggestively, before slipping her hand into her knickers - all while filming herself.

In a nod to her "creepy sexy baby" outfit at the now notorious MTV Video Music Awards in August [Miley's words to US music magazine Rolling Stone], she is also seen sucking her thumb provocatively and, later, singing in a bathtub.
