Rosie Huntington-Whiteley buys country retreat

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has bought a country cottage to escape her celebrity lifestyle.

The 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' actress - who is in a relationship with Jason Statham - already owns homes in New York and Los Angeles but has splashed out on the secluded property near her home town of Devon, South West England, in order to have a retreat from her busy life.

A source said: "Rosie's just bought a cottage on the edge of Dartmoor. With its eerie, foggy moor it's the perfect place for her to hide away.

"Now she's globally famous, Rosie is fed up with the attention. Things have been going crazy since she started dating Jason Statham. She can now switch off, close her cottage doors and hide."

The small stone cottage is situated in a quiet area and surrounded by acres of outdoor space, and the 24-year-old beauty is said to be looking forward to spending time outdoors.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Rosie's a down-to-earth girl She's not bothered with debauched celebrity parties.

"Here she can go horse riding, read and generally escape from the world."

Rosie recently admitted she is not a fan of parties and her main motivation for working is to make her family "proud".

She said: "I'm not a party girl. I've never done drugs. I'm always the person to go to bed first.

"I want to pay my bills and make my family proud. I've got no other criteria apart from that."
