Taylor Swift has been granted a restraining order against a 33-year-old male stalker who claims to be the singer’s husband and vows to kill anyone who threatens to come between them.

The pop star, 24, obtained the court order against Timothy Sweet after she endured three years of harassment over email, via post and social media.

According to TMZ, who claim to have obtained the legal documents she filed, Sweet told Swift that he carries a gun at all times so he can protect her.

One such message he sent to her read: “My wife, Taylor Swift (Sweet) and I live in Beverley Hills. I am in love with her. In conclusion, we treat each other with dignity and respect. I will carry a gun to protect her the rest of my life.”

In another, he apparently threatens to murder anyone that “gets in the way” of the marriage he believes exists.

“Dearest Taylor, I'll kill any man who gets in the way of our marriage. Message to John Kerry, Secretary of State. Message from YOUR Presidential Candidate,” he wrote.

Swift stated that Sweet’s behaviour was “seriously alarming and harassing and are extremely distressing to me and my family”.

She added that she does “not have desire to interact with or communicate in any way with Mr Sweet.”

Sweet must now stay ‘100 yards away from her’, her mother, her father and her brother.
