Video: Michelle Obama's dance to 'Uptown Funk' on the Ellen DeGeneres show
Obama said she had enlisted the help of some professional choreographers to come up with the routine, next to be performed at the White House
Over the last five years, Michelle Obama has fronted a drive to get American’s fitter with her Let’s Move! campaign.
And if her most recent appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show is anything to go by, the First Lady is definitely leading by example.
While appearing on the popular talk show last week, Obama showed she wasn’t lacking in the rhythm department, with an impressive dance routine to Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson’s global hit “Uptown Funk”.
Obama said she had enlisted the help of some professional choreographers to come up with the routine and revealed that she would be performing the dance in its entirety at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Easter Monday.
The 51-year-old was on the show to promote her new #GimmeFive initiative in which she asks people in the US to give her five examples of how they are leading a healthy life.
Some of the celebrities that have accepted #GimmeFive challenges include Beyonce, Hugh Jackman and American Vice President Joe Biden.
