The daughter of the late pop star Whitney Houston is fighting for her life two days after being found unresponsive at her home, her family have said.

The 21-year-old was rushed to hospital in Roswell, Georgia after she was reportedly found unconscious in a bathtub by her husband and a friend.

Police said the 21-year-old was taken to a hospital after she was found "face down and unresponsive" in a bathtub in a suburban Atlanta home.

A family statement said: "We are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time.

"Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support.”

Whitney Houston, a multiple Grammy Award winner and actress, drowned in a bathtub in Beverly Hills, California on 11 February 2012. Authorities said cocaine use and heart disease contributed to her death aged 48.
