Rapper Waka Flocka Flame has been criticised for transphobic remarks he made on a radio show, where he accused Caitlyn Jenner of "rebuking god" and giving in to "devil playing tricks on your mind."

He also suggested that transgender people are "evil", while on The Breakfast Club radio show, hosted by presenter Charlamagne Tha God.

When asked about his views on Caitlyn Jenner, Waka Flocka Flame, whose songs include 'F*** the Club Up' and 'All These Bitches', said: "You are who you are when God made you, not who you became after he did."

"God didn't put those feelings in you," he said.

"That's the devil playing tricks on your mind. That's a test from God."

He then went on to talk about his wider views on society, particularly in relation to women and families.

"You know what the world is today, man? Women are afraid to be a wife, young males are afraid to be men."

"They don't market husbands and families and wives any more, they're marketing young girls, they're marketing transgenders, they're marketing evil man."

Ending the rant, he said: "I ain't got nothing against people's preferences but putting that on TV, that's crazy."

Waka also referred to Caitlyn Jenner as Bruce Jenner, the name the Olympic athlete used before she made her gender transition.

Caitlyn Jenner revealed she would transition during an interview with journalist Diane Sawyer in April, appearing as a women for the first time in a now-famous image that appeared on the front of Vanity Fair magazine.
