The Sunday Times is ridiculed for calling Rachel Weisz 'Mrs James Bond’
A newspaper has been criticised for referring to the Academy Award-winning actress Rachel Weisz as ‘Mrs James Bond’ in a teaser for its Culture section.
The accomplished actress has been nominated for 27 awards throughout her career, winning 16, including a Golden Globe for her performance in The Constant Gardner.
But this didn’t stop The Sunday Times from describing her as ‘Mrs James Bond’, an allusion to her husband Daniel Craig, who has never won or been nominated for an Oscar.
Weisz is currently promoting her new film The Lobster, a science fiction tale from the Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos. She is also collaborating with producers on six projects, telling The Times: “I’m not a writer, but I can develop. I can look at scripts and I can produce them creatively.“
