Taylor Swift returns to Instagram after week of silence post KimYe feud

Taylor Swift has returned to Instagram days after using the site to respond to one of the more ferocious feuds in recent months.

After a week which has seen the singer and her friends embroiled in a spat over a phone call she claims was recorded, Swift has been quiet on social media.

Perhaps hoping for a calmer week than her previous, Swift’s second post was substantially more anodyne, showing a throwback of her and Selena Gomez.

Gomez also found herself pulled into controversy after bemoaning the release of the phone call by calling for those with a platform to use it for more pressing issues.

Whether this controversy will be swept under the rug or continue to play out on such a public platform will likely depend on the contents of Kim Kardashian's next viral Snapchat story.
