Taylor Swift allegedly turned down a $2million offer to perform at a billionaire’s wedding so she could perform at the christening of her godson Leo instead.

Swift was made godmother of her friend Jaime King's second son when he was born last month.

A guest told the Sunday Express that Swift arrived at King’s home in LA with her own music and backing tracks and performed some of her biggest hits, including "Love Story", "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "Red".

King and her husband, screenwriter Kyle Newman, were described as being ‘deliriously happy’ about the gesture, admiring Swift for turning down the lucrative offer.

It is claimed the wedding deal Swift turned down would have earned her $1m for each song she performed as well as being required to spend 30 minutes mingling with the bride and their guests.

Forbes magazine said that swift made $80m between June 2014 and June 2015, making her one of the highest-paid celebrities on their Celebrity 100.

She’s also one of the hardest working pop stars in the industry, and is currently midway through touring her fifth record, 1989.
