Fifteen people have been charged with offences including fraud, perverting the course of justice and misconduct in a public office after a criminal inquiry focusing on a driving test centre.

Warwickshire Police said the charges had been brought against a man from Nuneaton and 14 other people from Leicester, Manchester, London and Yorkshire after a joint investigation assisted by the Driving Standards Agency.

A police spokesman said the inquiry into driving tests taken in Nuneaton had resulted in 39 people having their driving licences revoked.

It is alleged that the offences were committed before August 2011 and the investigation does not involve anyone currently working at the test centre.

Those charged will appear before magistrates in Birmingham on Monday April 30.
