A bank worker has been charged with murder after police found a body while searching for a missing woman.

Jasvir Ram Ginday, 32, was arrested by West Midlands Police after a body was discovered at an address in Walsall on Friday.

A police spokesman confirmed that Ginday had been charged with murder and would remain in custody until an appearance at Walsall Magistrates' Court on Monday morning.

The body, which has not yet been formally identified, was found at around 8pm on Friday by detectives investigating a report of a missing person, which was made on Thursday.

Nine people, four other men and five women, arrested in connection with the death have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarbit Johal, who is heading up the investigation, said: "We are undertaking numerous enquiries and are still really keen to speak to anyone who may have information that could help this investigation."
