Police are appealing for information regarding Chanelle Beasley, the 12-year-old girl who went missing on New Year’s Eve.

The Metropolitan Police force say they are concerned for her welfare since she disappeared from Mitcham, south-west London.

She was last seen in her family home in the suburb at 3pm on Tuesday 31 December.

Following initial police inquiries, it is suspected that she may be in the Romford, Dagenham or Chadwell Heath areas of London.

Miss Beasley has been described as mixed race, 5ft 5ins tall and of slim build. She was wearing a jacket with a leopard skin pattern on the front and leather on the back, over a black and white glittery cardigan, with light blue skinny jeans and black Nike Air Max trainers.

She was carrying a black Adidas record bag.

This is the first time Miss Beasley has gone missing and her family are concerned over her whereabouts.

The force have asked Chanelle to contact her family or police.

Those with information are asked to call police on 101 quoting ref 13MIS043625, or the national charity Missing People on 116 000.
