Paedophile doctor Myles Bradbury who abused 18 boys has prison sentence reduced by six years

He had his 22 year sentence reduced to 16 years, with six years release on licence

A paediatrician who sexually abused 18 boys in his care, and has been described by a judge as the worst paedophile he hade ever seen, has had his 22 year prison sentence reduced to 16 years.

42-year-old Myles Bradbury, from Herringswell, Suffolk was a consultant haematologist for children at Addenbrooke's hospital in Cambridge, had his time in prison reduced by three judges at the Court of Appeal in London today.

He was jailed in December after he plead guilty to 25 offences that included sexual assult, voyeurism, and possessing more than 16,000 indecent images, involving boys aged 10 to 16.

All of Bradbury's victims suffered from serious conditions like leukemia and haemophilia. Some have since died.

Some of his crimes involved filming some victims with a spy pen. He abused some others behind a curtain, while their parents were in the same room.

Lady Justice Hallett, Mr Justice Haddon-Cave and Mr Justice Goss restructed Mr Bradbury's sentence - reducing it to 16 years in prison, followed by six years on licence, meaning he will be released and supervised on probation.

Bradbury watched the Court of Appeal proceedings on video link from prison on the Isle of Wight.
