Police seize £4m in fake coins
Fake coins totalling £4.1m in value have been discovered in a freight container, a haul that Scotland Yard believes is the biggest of its kind to ever be found in the UK.
The counterfeit coins were seized on Tuesday during raids in Enfield, north London, and Essex and Hertfordshire. Three men, aged 52, 43 and 27, were arrested.
Officers said it was a "significant blow" to the gang but some of the money may already be in circulation.
