Woman and teenage brother found 'stabbed' in Vauxhall flat

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

A woman and her teenage brother are recovering in hospital following an alleged stabbing in central London.

Officers were called to a flat in Tyers Street, Vauxhall at 3:35am on Sunday where they found the 22-year-old woman and her 15 year-old brother.

The woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition and is now stable, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said.

The teenager has suffered non-life threatening injuries.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
