Police call expert to remove snake from the back of computer, turns out to be a cable
It may have been the common 'Twin RCA Phono Stereo Red Black Audio Lead Cable' snake
A snake expert in Llanelli, Wales was called out by police in the middle of the night last week to investigate a report of an unusual snake in someone's home.
Geraint "Snakeman" Hopkins was contacted around 2.30am by South Wales Police, who were following up a call from a 'worried man'.
The man in question had bought a computer in Cardiff and believed there to be a snake inside it.
"They wanted me to go to Cardiff, but I am a volunteer and it was really late so I couldn't get there," he told the Llanelli Star.
"I asked them if they could send me a picture instead.
"After looking at the picture the gentleman said he realised it was actually a red and black lead.
"When I told the police they thought I was joking, and then when they realised I was telling the truth, they couldn't believe it."
Hopkins said he sees a lot of cables posing as snakes in his profession.
"It's not the first time I have had a call like this," he added. "I could write a book with all the strange snake-related call I've had."
