Judge refuses to halt Tube strike
A High Court judge has refused to halt a Boxing Day strike by Tube drivers embroiled in a pay dispute.
London Underground bosses had asked Mr Justice Eder to stop the industrial action during a hearing in London yesterday. They said the Aslef drivers' union called the strike, over extra Boxing Day pay, in breach of trade union legislation by balloting members not rostered to work on the bank holiday.
The judge said he would give his reasons for not granting the injunction to halt the strike today.
The general secretary of Aslef, Mick Whelan, said: "This is the right decision."
