Mourning the miners: Wales unites in grief

Prayers were said and floral tributes laid across Wales yesterday in memory of the four miners killed in the Gleision Colliery accident.

Families of the four gathered at churches in the Swansea Valley. The Wales rugby team dedicated their World Cup win over Samoa to the families. The Prince of Wales is to be patron of an appeal fund.
