A strike planned by train drivers during the Olympics in a row over pensions has been called off after a deal was agreed.
Members of the Aslef union at East Midlands Trains were due to walk out on August. 6, 7 and 8, threatening travel chaos for spectators going to the Games.
The two sides said that "constructive" discussions had led to the action being averted.
A joint statement said: "East Midlands Trains and Aslef are pleased to confirm that a positive settlement of all issues relating to planned pensions changes has been reached.
"This means that previously announced strike action on 6, 7 and 8 August has been called off and there will be no disruption to important rail services during the London 2012 Games."
