Tube strike or no Tube strike, everyone's desperate to get home in time for the Great British Bake Off

But not everyone's happy

Some of the capital’s commuters may be complaining about the London Tube strike starting this evening, but there is a strong contingent of Bake Off fans who are pleased as punch.

The highly anticipated new series of the BBC’s Great British Bake Off starts tonight and people are making most of an excuse to leave the office early and get home in plenty of time for an evening of Mary Berry, Paul Hollywood and glorious cakes:

Others have even gone so far as to cancel plans in the name of the Tube strike when their real intent is to be glued to the television:

But, for some, the Tube strike will probably mean no GBBO for them tonight:
