BBC spells Renfrewshire Renfrewshi*e
'The spelling error was a human mistake and was quickly corrected'
It was a long night all round. And, over at the BBC, it all good a little bit too much for one member of staff.
The "T" is right next to the "R", so it's an easy mistake to make - but still....
The error came as Mhairi Black, the 20-year-old student candidate running for the SNP, ousted Labour’s shadow Foreign Secretary, Douglas Alexander in one of the early shocks of the night.
According to a BBC spokesman: "The spelling error was a human mistake and was quickly corrected. We apologise for any offence caused."
