Video shows dramatic helicopter rescue of injured fisherman
The man was rescued from a fishing vessel off Milford Haven
Video has emerged of the dramatic moment an injured fisherman was rescued by helicopter.
The crewman had been injured in a fall on his fishing vessel, near Milford Haven.
The operation begins as a member of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, RNLI, is lowered down by a helicopter onto the fishing vessel.
The rescuer dangles in mid-air behind the boat until coming aboard.
Once the injured man has been safely secured in a stretcher, both he and the rescuer are lifted back into the helicopter and to safety.
The RNLI provides a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service in the UK and Ireland.
In 2014, the charity saved on average 24 people a day, having come to the rescue of over 10,000 people.
