100 years of life is something you might expect to be marked by a trip to an exotic location or a celebratory dinner, but Ohio woman Trudy Price just wants to do some bloody gardening for Christ's sake.

Price's wish for her birthday was simply to do 'yard work', a simple request that shows how just being amongst nature is still one of the most rewarding experiences even after a century of life.

Her nearby Bowling Green State University were only too happy to grant her wish, inviting her to their campus where she helped plant flowers and sat atop a ride-on lawn mower with a look of sheer joy on her face.

Price said she has always loved the smell of cut grass and still likes to go out for walks at the retirement community where she lives, adding that she believes staying active is important.

Her dream came true thanks to a partnership formed by Brookdale Senior Living and Wish of a Lifetime.
