Woman is filmed by her husband delivering her own baby in front seat of a car as he drives her to hospital - video

A woman has been filmed by her husband giving birth to a 10lb baby in the front seat of a car while her husband drove her to a birthing centre.

The remarkable footage of the unnamed woman, posted on YouTube, shows her delivering the baby as the car speeds down the motorway.

The idea had been to reach the Bay Area Birth Centre, near Houston, Texas – but the couple did not make it in time.

Posted on YouTube on Thursday, the four-minute video opens with the caption: “We’ve been driving for about 45 mins. Already.”

She then takes her trousers down and out the baby comes. The couple then exchange a high-five and the man tells the woman: “We did it.”

The woman replies: “He came out right in the car! Oh my God. You're beautiful! Oh my goodness! What do I do?”

The baby is the couple's third child. Their first two children, both daughters, now aged two and one, were born at the birthing centre.
