The South African government says it has signed an agreement with Vietnam to try to halt the trade in horns taken from poached rhinos.

The deal to increase law enforcement efforts comes amid a wholesale slaughter of rhinos in South Africa, which has the continent's biggest rhino population. Government statistics show at least 618 rhinos have been poached this year alone.
