Hosni Mubarak is slipping in and out of consciousness a week after the ousted Egyptian leader was sent to jail to begin a life sentence.
With rumours of the former President's death spreading, authorities granted his wife, Suzanne, and their two daughters-in-law special permission to visit Mubarak, 84, in Cairo's Torah prison yesterday. "The former President's health is in decline," an official said.
