A timber warehouse that was left ice-encrusted after firefighters apparently extinguished a blaze on Wednesday, is again on fire.

Reports said that fire had once again engulfed the whole building.

Dramatic images emerged of the building covered in ice after the fire, which was brought under control despite temperatures of -12C, which saw the team's equipment and engines freeze.

Water used to put out the fire froze on the building leaving an entire block coated in a thick ice leftover from the firefighting efforts.

Firefighters even became concerned the weight of the ice could collapse the damaged building -- adding even more to their challenges.

Temperatures in the city are currently falling to an icy -7C (19F) at night.

Firefighters have so far made no comment on what caused either of the two fires.
