Man survives car crash after flipping through Florida car park

A man has been saved from a horrific crash that involved his car flipping 12 times across a car park.

CCTV footage captured the moment the vehicle hurtled through the air, landing on its roof in DeLand, Florida on 30 July.

Bystanders rushed to save the driver as smoke began to engulf the wreckage, pulling him through the sunroof.

The man was airlifted to hospital and is now being treated for a head injury.

Morgan Bissel was one of many who helped save the unknown man from the crash.

"People came over with fire extinguishers to put out the fire," he told Wesh 2 News.

"We flipped the car over and pulled the guy out so he didn't burn alive.”

"If it weren't for the bystanders, he wouldn't have made it, at least this far.” He added.

“It gives me goosebumps,” said Kelly Robinson, another witness who assisted.

”It’s crazy that that car did flip so many times, and there was someone in there that actually survived.”

Police are now checking through the footage to detect how the man was able to lose control of the vehicle.
