Prosecutors have charged two German citizens with wildlife trafficking after they were detained at Mexico City international airport with 543 cacti.
The Attorney General's Office said that some of the cactus species found are considered endangered. The office identified the men as Harald Farber and Kurt Dietrich. Mexico is home to one of the most significant ranges of cactus varieties in the world.
