Police in Canada have released an image showing a suspect who reportedly broke into a commercial business before eating some food and photocopying their face.

The man scanned his face after getting inside the property in Toronto, Ontario, the city’s police department said over the weekend.

After illegally entering the property, he snacked on some food and left the remains along with the image of his face, the Toronto Sun reports.

Victor Kwong, a media relations officer for the Toronto police department, told The Independent an investigation into the incident was ongoing on Monday afternoon.

“We don’t know what the motivation is,” he added.

The image shows a man in a fedora with a black strap staring directly into the photocopying machine. Not much else was immediately made available to the public, causing some online who read the developments to mock the bizarre report.

The suspect reportedly fled from the property, located near Dufferin Street and Ridelle Avenue in Fairbank, near Eglinton Avenue West.
