Youngster made a big mistake challenging former Boston Celtics player for his shoes
A high school hopeful tried his hand at beating a former NBA professional 1 on 1, and was so confident he bet his own basketball shoes on the outcome of the game.
Former Boston Celtic Brian Scalabrine, who is now a TV analyst, and the young hopeful both bet their shoes - but the young hopeful was more than a little embarrassed by the outcome of the game..
And 6ft 9 Scalabrine, who was nicknamed White Mamba in the NBA, destroyed him with a dominant 11-0 victory and TikTok video of the one-sided game has now had more than 1.2 million views.
Scalabrine, 43, was drafted by the New Jersey Nets in the second round of the 2001 draft and was a key figure in the team winning the Eastern Conference championship that year.
He signed in 2005 with the Celtics, where he played for five seasons, and later played for the Chicago Bulls.

”Zay was trying to put up a fight but he is just still too good and physical,” the video said of the young challenger.
“He called game and ended up winning 11-0,” the video added about Scalabrine.
This is not the first time Scalabrine has taken on challengers at the local gym.
In 2013 after he retired he was so tired of hearing how people in the city could beat him he took on all comers and went undefeated.
