The estranged wife of George Zimmerman – cleared of any crime by a Florida court over the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin – called police to her father’s house on Monday, saying her husband threatened her with a gun.

Police Chief Steve Bracknell said George Zimmerman was not arrested and officers were at the house trying to determine what happened.

“We’ve only heard one side of the story so far,” he said.

Shellie Zimmerman, who filed a divorce petition last week, told ABC TV her husband is “selfish”. “I think George is all about George,” she said.
