TransAsia GE235 crash: Images show taxi driver hit by aircraft walking away from vehicle

Incredible pictures have surfaced showing the moment a taxi driver whose vehicle was clipped by the TransAsia flight stumbled from his vehicle to the side of the road.

The driver has been described as “the luckiest man alive” after walking away from the incident.

Pictures show his windscreen shattered and the side of his car crushed by the impact of the aircraft.

The manager of the driver's taxi company told The Guardian he has been taken to hospital with a head injury, where he remains in a stable condition.

An astonishing video taken by a car dashcam also appears to show the driver checking the contents of his trunk after being hit. The video has not been independently verified.

Hong Kong's Apple Daily say they spoke to a doctor who treated him after he was hospitalised. "I fainted the moment it hit us," the driver from Crown Taxis reportedly said, according to the doctor.

A total of 58 people were on board the domestic flight GE235, with at least 15 people killed and dozens injured.
