Two become 11.11.11: couples hope for lucky day
The 11th day of the 11th month in the 11th year of the century was seen as unusually lucky in many countries.
In Malaysia, more than 1,000 ethnic Chinese couples picked the day to marry, believing that the special date would add an extra ingredient to their special day
"The numbers rhyme with one husband, one wife and one soul in Chinese and signifies a marriage that would last a lifetime," said Pua Kim Giok, a 25-year-old nurse, who tied the knot with Lee Chin Siong, 27, an engineer.
