Terrifying footage from China has emerged showing a cyclist being dragged under the wheels of a 14-wheel lorry, only to emerge out the other side unscathed.

CCTV from the city of Ningbo, in the eastern Zhejiang province, shows seemingly unconcerned road users driving past the man left lying in the middle of the road.

He was seen turning right at a crossroads on Wednesday, from a one-way street, before the huge green and red lorry started cornering behind him.

Without slowing down, it ploughed into the back of the cyclist, knocking him to the ground and dragging him and the bike underneath.

It drove on, seemingly unaware of the accident, to reveal the man curled up on the ground with his mangled bicycle.

Paramedics called to the scene were amazed to find he survived being run over suffering only minor bruising.

Local traffic police blamed the near-fatal incident on the lorry driver, who failed to check for the cyclist in his blind spot as he turned right, ITV News reported.

It is not the first time a cyclist in Ningbo has had a lucky escape – in 2012, a man survived a collision with a cement mixer as he crossed the road.
