Dutch prince Johan Friso has been flown from Austria to a hospital in London, nearly two weeks after a skiing accident left him with brain damage.
Queen Beatrix's second son was buried beneath snow for 25 minutes after being hit by an avalanche near the Austrian alpine village of Lech.
The doctor treating the 41-year-old prince told media last week that the prince, who is married and has two young daughters, may never regain consciousness.
Dr Wolfgang Koller of the Innsbruck hospital that initially treated Friso said it took nearly 50 minutes to resuscitate the prince.
A royal house statement said he was transferred to London's Wellington Hospital.
