French budget minister Jérôme Cahuzac under new pressure over Swiss bank account
The French minister responsible for fighting tax evasion has denied renewed claims that he once had an illegal Swiss bank account.
Jérôme Cahuzac appeared to have been exonerated last month when Swiss authorities said they could find no trace of his account. But the French investigative website, Mediapart, has claimed to have new evidence.
The minister said he was “not impressed” and again protested his innocence.
