A man has been jailed in France after attempting a bank robbery using underwear as a mask.
Daniel Anfray, 56, also used a pocket knife to threaten staff at the branch in Normandy. He claimed he felt "lost" after his recent release from prison.
According to Digital Spy, the French daily La Manche Libre reported that after one of the workers recognised him through the disguise, he was asked to put the knife away before police were called in to deal with the situation.
Anfray was recently released from jail for drink driving. He admitted the attempted robbery, as well as stealing two bikes.
He has been sentenced to eight months in prison, with four months suspended.
