One person was killed and 21 others injured when a bus carrying Swiss tourists crashed near the Turkish resort of Antalya.

Switzerland's Foreign Ministry said one Swiss tourist died and 19 others were injured, two of them seriously.

The Anadolu Agency said the Turkish bus driver and tour guide were also hurt in the accident.

The private Dogan news agency said the bus tilted to one side and skidded for 50 metres before stopping.

The cause of the accident was under investigation.

The bus was heading back to Antalya, on the Mediterranean coast, after a day trip to the Pamukkale hot springs, a popular tourist destination and Unesco World Heritage site.
