Authorities have arrested a groom who killed his father and two aunts after opening fire into the air with an automatic weapon to celebrate his wedding, Turkey's state-run news agency said.
Eight other relatives were injured during yesterday's celebration in the south-eastern province of Gaziantep, the Anatolia news agency said.
The groom lost control of the weapon and accidentally aimed it at guests. It is tradition in Turkey to shoot into the air at celebrations. Turkey has failed to curb the practice despite imposing harsher punishments to cut down on accidents.
