A Saudi prince has increased a reward to $1m for the capture of any Israeli soldier to be swapped for Palestinian prisoners.
Prince Khaled bin Talal told the kingdom's al-Daleel television station by telephone that he was raising a previous offer made by Sheik Awadh al-Qarani, a prominent Saudi cleric, who promised $100,000.
The offers follow the release of Sgt Gilad Shalit, held by Hamas in Gaza for more than five years, in exchange for 1,000 prisoners. AP
