Syria: Russian Tu-22M3 bombers deployed to intensify air campaign

Russia has released video of bomber planes being used 'to intensify' the country's air campaign in Syria.

The footage offers multiple angles from both inside and out of a Tu-22M3 fleet, with numerous bombs seen falling through the sky.

RT report that the fleet concerned "set off from the Hmeymim airbase in Latakia and conducted a virulent bombardment on multiple militant strongholds."

Colonel General Andrei Kartapolov announced recently that "in total 127 sorties were made" against "206 terrorist targets."

Further video of Russian air strikes was released by the Russian Ministry of Defence, which shows a recent attack on an oil refinery allegedly belonging to Isis.

Russia has upped its involvement in Syria after reports suggested a bomb was used to down the Metrojet airliner that crashed in Egypt.

Mr Putin and French President Francois Hollande have reportedly agreed to coordinate attacks within the war-torn region.
