Langley in Berkshire has been named as the leading potential hotspot for homebuyers and landlords once Crossrail is up and running.

Once up and running, Crossrail will cut the journey time from the village into central London to just 27 minutes, reducing the commute by 77 minutes and making the area more attractive to commuters who work in central London.

Research carried out by Move with Us and Home.co.uk looked journey times to Bond Street and indicates that Langley offered the best value for money when comparing journey time saved with Crossrail against property prices.

The report also highlighted Abbey Wood as the most reasonably priced place to buy along the Crossrail line and also highlighted Iver in Buckinghamshire as a potential location where the new transport links will affect property prices.

"The Crossrail line will breathe fresh air into the London property market," said Robin King, Director, Move with Us. "It will open up some more affordable areas for commuters who are struggling to get a foot on the property ladder.

"An influx of new inhabitants should also help to regenerate towns and villages along the new line. It’s likely property prices will rise in these areas in the coming years as commuters take advantage of the reduced journey times."
