England vs Wales: There's nothing for Roy's boys to worry about despite draw in Euro 2016 opener

A look ahead to England's next fixture from a betting point of view

England’s players sunk to the turf at the final whistle after they conceded a late goal to draw their opening match of the Euros but there is no need to panic following one match.

Given the format of the competition, Roy Hodgson’s men could lose their next game, against Wales, and still end up in the knock-out stages as one of the four best-placed third teams.

The England coach, however, will be thinking only about a win against the Welsh, who are the early pacesetters in Group B.

England are still favourites with BetVictor at evens to win the group but Wales have been trimmed to 85-40 following their win against Slovakia. You can get 6-4 on England and Wales being the teams who finish first and second in the group. England are 7-4 to win their remaining two group fixtures and 16s to lose both.

Hodgson’s men, who are 9-1 from 8s to win the Euros following their 1-1 draw with Russia, are 4-7 to beat Wales in Lens.

Wales talisman Gareth Bale scored his country’s opening goal of the tournament and is 13-2 to break the deadlock against England and 2-1 to score at any time. He can also be backed at 19-2 with BetVictor to score from outside the box and is 20s to grab a goal in each half.

Eric Dier was 50s to be England’s top scorer in the tournament before their opening game. He is now 8-1 after his free-kick goal against the Russians, with Harry Kane the favourite at 15-8. The Three Lions are 5-1 to be eliminated from the tournament at the group stage and the same price to exit in the semis.

France are 7-2 favourites to win the Euros, followed by Germany and Spain, who are both 4-1.
