Andrey Yeshchenko was lucky to escape with his life after crashing his Nissan GT-R in the centre of Krasnodar at a reported 105mph.

CCTV footage captured the Russia international haring down a motorway in Krasnodar, which is located to the South-west of the country,with a second shot showing the supercar smash into a streetlight pole after losing control.

The 31-year-old defender, who plays for Anzhi Makhachkala but is on a loan spell with Kuban Krasnodar, can be seen to switch lanes from the fast lane to the slow lane, only to continue off the road and into the streetlight at high speed.

The £66,000 Japanese supercar was immediately destroyed on impact and spun down the road before coming to a standstill, and after a few seconds Yeshchenko could be seen miraculously emerging from the wreckage.

A police source told Russian news agency Lifenews that Yeshchenko was driving the car at 105mph at the time of impact.
