Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits PSG were 'a level up' from Manchester United

Angel Di Maria is set to avoid a ban after appearing to swear at Manchester United fans after Paris Saint-Germain‘s first goal in the 2-0 Champions League win.

The Argentine was given a torrent of abuse following his return to Old Trafford after a brief but ultimately failed stint with United.

Di Maria took the corner before Presnel Kimpembe slammed home the opening goal of the first leg, last 16 tie.

And Di Maria reacted by screaming, “f*** off putas” as his team-mates rushed over to celebrate their goal.

UEFA confirmed that nothing was mentioned concerning the incident in any of the subsequent reports, meaning Di Maria, at this stage, is set to avoid any charge or ban.

Kylian Mbappe added a second goal to put PSG on the brink of qualifying for the quarter-finals.

With Paul Pogba’s late dismissal ensuring he will be banned for the second leg to further complicate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s potential comeback.

Solskjaer may also have to contend that game without Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard – both of whom went off injured on Tuesday.

United next face Chelsea in the FA Cup, before a Premier League clash with bitter rivals Liverpool.
